Diet & Training Shifts During COVID-19

ย โฃ @tryin2bfit4life on the Gram, recently asked us how our diet and training has changed with the ๐๐ž๐ฐ ๐˜๐จ๐ซ๐ค lockdown. โฃ โฃ ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ซ๐ญ ๐š๐ง๐ฌ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ข๐ญ ๐ก๐š๐ฌ๐งโ€™๐ญ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐œ๐ก.โฃ ย โฃ By large, our diet is the same as itโ€™s always been, especially since we work from home and havenโ€™t been too affected by this shut down in that regard. We are able to maintain most of our usual habits. I mean ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ตโ€™๐˜ด ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ต ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜จ๐˜ฉ, there have been some burritos (New York locals, Al Horno has phenomenal healthy Mex). Weโ€™ve also had a couple nights of some of our other favorite treats! ๐’๐ญ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ก๐ข๐ ๐ก ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐œ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฅ๐ฒ, ๐ฌ๐จ ๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ข๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฆ๐ž๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฐ๐ž ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐š๐ฏ๐จ๐ข๐๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ž๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฌ๐ž/๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐š๐ ๐ž ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐œ ๐ฅ๐จ๐š๐. โฃ โฃ Where the change really came was in our training since no gyms are open. We had our SelecTech dumbbells from storage delivered and have been using resistance bands. ๐˜‰๐˜ฐ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง ๐˜ถ๐˜ด ๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ ๐˜ธ๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ฌ ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ธ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ ๐˜จ๐˜ฆ๐˜ต๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ฑ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ต๐˜บ ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง ๐˜ง๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ฉ ๐˜ข๐˜ช๐˜ณ. โฃ โฃ Itโ€™s been different and we are really enjoying it, other than Alex wishing he could do some heavy barbell squats. โฃ โฃ Until thatโ€™s possible, dumbbell lunges, Romanian deadlifts, and hip thrusts have been getting the job done for lower body. For the upper body, dumbbells and body weight work are pretty standard โ€” so there arenโ€™t many changes in that department. โฃ โฃ I personally have been enjoying at home workout videos that have been a part of my life for the last 15 or so years when necessary. ๐€ ๐ฅ๐จ๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ฉ๐ž๐จ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ญ๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ฅ๐ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ค๐ž ๐ญ๐จ ๐ญ๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ ๐ฌ๐ก๐š๐๐ž ๐จ๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ฌ๐ž, ๐›๐ฎ๐ญ ๐ˆ ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ฆ ๐Ÿ๐ฎ๐ง ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ก๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ž๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž. โฃ โฃ Ok friends!
