Reframing Life Problems Is Essential For Happiness

No one likes having problems in life. We like things to be easy; ’tis human nature.

Obstacles are inconvenient, terrifying, and seem like they serve no purpose other than to slow our perfect life flow down.

Ya, no…

“Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny.” ~C.S. Lewis

You need problems to fully develop and learn as a human. They are essential for living a good life, even if they bring temporary discomfort. Rather that victimize yourself with the “woah is me” mindset, look for the learning opportunities each problem or challenge brings you. Obstacles that can be overcome are there to teach.

Challenges and problems are an integral part of the human experience. They are here to teach you to become wiser, stronger, and to shape our personality; not to break you. Hoping for a life without hardship may sound logical but it isn’t if you desire growth and success in this lifetime. Eliminating all challenges means stagnation. Of course we encounter shit that tests our limits, but there is always a silver lining and a lesson to be found.

And remember, life isn’t a competition. Everyone has problems, some are massive, others are minor. The problems per se are not what matter, it’s how you respond to them. Look at any successful person for inspiration, they got there not in spite of their problems, but because of them.

The only thing to do around life difficulties is to change your perspective from which you see life. Resist torturing yourself with desiring the false illusion of a problem free life. Look to these experiences through an opportunistic lens; how can I conquer this and come out the other side with more resilience and wisdom?
